Neil and Howard before him do/did difficult job to a high standard. I became Manager at RVGC 8.5 years ago and the information and networking opportunities I have received from the regional meetings have been the single biggest assistance to me. The golf has been enjoyable and in some cases if I am honest has influenced my decision to travel up to 90 minutes in the rush hour and be out of the office.

Thanks for sorting today particularly TOT and BIGGA speakers and the excellent Venue both Course and House - driven past it many times but never been up the drive let alone played it. My golf was mediocre but company was as usual good.

Will be there in December and February Meantime hope you soon get fully fit and back on a golf course.

I visited the North West Region last month at Pleasington GC, and I would like to place on record an appreciation for the professionalism of the organisation of the day by Regional Secretary Howard Williams.

I arrived to find everything perfectly set up, PowerPoint ready and the agenda for the day clearly communicated via the display screen throughout the meeting. The attendance was well in excess of 50 members and a very purposeful business meeting then transpired.

This was a fine example of how the standard of many of our Regions has increased considerably over the last few years and I was pleased to be part of a very useful and thought provoking interactive exchange of information that co-incided with my own presentation of thoughts for change in 2011.

As ever it was a pleasure to come along to a gathering and meet up with other Secretaries. It’s just a shame I don’t get along to enough of them.

The meeting was well organised, balanced and informative, lunch was spot on and the company in the afternoon most enjoyable.

That was a good meeting yesterday, at long last we have something structured!
